FC Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Game at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barça revealed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league two and a half years following their departure so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators can be present based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
